He "Remembers the Old Wooden Jail on Sixth Street". He tells about the attempted murder of Oscar Lyon in December of 1861 by Gilbert Wynings. I am hoping that he kept a record of Oscar Lyon's death date and burial location. Did he have a record of what happened to Gilbert Wynings? It occured around December 30, 1861. According to an article in The Bay City Times, Robert Anderson said that Oscar died a few months later. The Bay County Historical Society has a "premium plate" with the inscription "Compliments of I.K. Schultz, Bay City, Mich." Could anyone tell me what is a premium plate and what it would have been given for? It looks like a china dinner plate and has a flowered border and a bouquet of flowers in the center. I think that his Great Grandfather was George. Have you looked online at Google? You can search through history books. I have found information about the Staudacher family there. The Staudachers grew up in the same area as my Pfundt ancestors. I believe that George lived in Monitor with the Pfunds. My Grandfather, Arthur Pfundt's best man was Louis Staudacher. I wonder which of the three churches in the area Bartholomaeus attended. St. Paul Lutheran in Frankenlust was the oldest. There is also Trinity Lutheran Monitor and St. John Lutheran Amelith. A Bay County book states that he died about the same time of the burning of the Old Saginaw Trading Post, which he owned. Has anyone found an 1860 Michigan Census for John Baptist Desnoyer. I am searching for information about the opera singer, Francis MacLennan, who was married to Florence Eastman. He was born in Bay City about 1874. I found him in the 1894 census with his parents and sister there. In 1920 he is in Nassau, New York with his wife and children. His father seems to have been Thomas J. MacLennan.
