It's great that you found out when Ann/Anne/Anna Conley/Connelly (what a mouthful)died! Clara E. is her daughter so I expect you're correct that Anna was buried in the same cemetery. I will contact St. Patrick's next week to see. Maybe her husband Owen is there too! What a great thing that would be. If you con't mind looking up later years for the family I would very much appreciate it. I believe son Bernard is buried in Rows 1-6 of St. Pat's too but will have to do some more looking. Thanks also for the suggestions as to where to look for obits, etc. If Anna is buried in St. Pat's, perhaps they have a burial book/record which will also help. I found the directories on the Heritage Quest website. If you have access to it go to Persi and look for places. The search engine is not the greatest. If you put in Bay City, MI you will only get hits for some of the directories. If you put in Polk's Bay City you get the later years which brings me to what you are looking for: 1911 Bay City Directory under Conley Anna, wid of Owen, age 68 died August 30th, 1910. Agnes, bds 204 N. Jackson Bernard, laborer res 800 Joseph Bernard, Jr. bds same Kate, res 204 N. Jackson Mary, bds 800 Joseph If you would like me to look at the later years that are online for the rest of the family I would be glad to do that. The Bay Co Genealogical Society has some records and will do limited research for you: http://www.baymigensociety.org/index.html Also: http://www.mifamilyhistory.org/bay/ has many tombstone transcriptions including St. Patrick's Cemetery. This is a very old cemetery. I ran Connelly and found Clara E. who died in 1941. There is an Anna listed online, but the dates are not right for yours. You can also write to St. Patrick's, now that you have a death date, and ask for burial information. Since Clara Is buried there odds are that is where your Anna is, too. The address is listed on the cemetery link page. Lori Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Now I know that Anna was still alive in 1910! Also it is good to know that she was still in Bay City as I found an Annie Connelly who died in Guelph in 1907 and I was wondering if this was my Anne (her name was really Ann but guess she went under Anna too). I'm assuming that this was the last time she appeared in your records? By the way, were these the city directories that you found this info? Ann would have been 70 years old so I guess she died in Bay City. Now I just have to find out if there is an obit and a death record. Do you have any suggestions as to where I can find this? Thanks so much again. I really appreciate your help. Also was her surname Conely or Connelly? The family went under both names, it seems.
