She was married to Johan Merkel who died in Gaylord MI in 1875. She had three children then, Mary, Frank( my grandfather) and Elizabeth. I believe she remarried in 1878 Anthonia Smarzyanicki and they had twin boys Powell and Francis, a daughter, Victoria, maybe Anna. They are listed in the 1880 census in Otsego County MI. My mother told me that they moved to Chicago, but I am not sure when. I have had a hard time finding information.
