He was born in Switzerland in about 1863, moving to the U.S. between 1882-1884. In the 1900 Census he was living beside a John Perou, born in 1835, who was from Switzerland in 1883. Louis Perou, b1879, and his wife Adaline were living with the older John Perou as well. I'm trying to determine if they were related to the John Perou (Pero/Perrou) who lived next door in 1900. My ancestor, James Lashway was born March 1868 according to the 1900 census. He was born in Michigan, though I do not know where exactly. He married Mary PREVOST about 1895 in either Bay Co. Michigan or in Montana. They are living in Montana in 1900. They had two children, Joseph Lashway and Mildred Lashway. I have no idea who the parents of this James Lashway are.
