Of particular interest to me is the mention of Martin & Amelia Leppek. My g-g-grandmother Mary Leppek Szlachcikowski was also from Bay City. Her family was from the area around Sliwice (just north of Mogilno), as were several Ziolkowski families. I would appreciate any info that you might have on them. Thank you, Donna Schumacher (Idaho) P.S. We have good friends in Warsaw by the name of Ziolkowski!

Did you receive the copy of marriage rec I sent you? This was one of Martin Dowley and Sarah Burke in which your Thomas and Hattie were witnesses. From the 1894 census, I found that Eugene Wilson wss married to Nellie Conaty, daug of James and Mary. and that Charles Wilson was married to Katie B. Hatton, daughter of William H. and Elizabeth. I thought that I had mailed you copies of this census. If I have not, I will be happy to do so. You may also want to check this out.. Helen Augusta Eddy had a brother, William Riley Eddy, who married Mary Minerva Pilkinton 23 Jun 1871 in Ionia County. Their mother, Martha Reed Eddy married William Towner in 1855. They are on the 1870 census in Danby Twp. Ionia county. Perhaps you can track some family from this group. Their "original" county in Michigan was Clinton county. William Wilson and Ellen Augusta Eddy were married there in 1862. The county is rich with the Eddy name. You may want to post on that website and check out their county site on USGenWeb.and GenForum. I believe that Martha Reed Eddy may have been the daughter of John and Polly Reed. .Martha had 2 brothers: John C. and Nathan. This is just my best guess and further research is needed.

Thank you so much for this wonderful present. Thank you so much! Q: How did you find the marriage record for Broll-Johnston? are these available online? I'm assuming "BC" means Bay County? I'd like to see if marriages of the other children of Thomas and Hattie Johnston can be found there. Also, Hattie Wilson Johnston was the daughter of William Wilson and Helen Eddy. They are buried in Fraser Twp. Their other children were Charles Wilson, Eugene Wilson, William Wilson, Jr., George Wilson, and Roselia Wilson who married a George Fogella. I would LOVE to find the marriage records of them in Bay County. I will gladly pay you for your time in looking up these marriages, if it wouldn't be to much trouble. Living in Alabama, it is very difficult finding concrete information in Michigan, without the wonderful help of kind individuals like yourself. Thank you again for this Census Record and Marriage Record. Merry Christmas!

I then decided since she was listed as boarder that probably her father was the man listed as res at the same address. I went back to 1884 (there's a state census available) and found Frank, pailmaker Bousfield and Co, res 2405 Fitzhugh. I checked next in 1894 (state census again) and found Frank X, barber, 1117 S Water, res 714 Howard. In 1900 (census) same profession, same home address. 1904 he moves to 1671 Cass and we have Mary listed. 1907 same address but now Frank X jr, Louise, Mary. 1910 (census) Frank X, Frank X jr, Louise, Marguerite, Rosanna, all at 1671 Cass. Perhaps Marie Louise is Louise? Hope this helps. Good luck.
