Callari - 7413 S. Crooked Lake Dr., Delton - Passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 11, 1977. Mr. Callari was born in Norway, Mich., April 17, 1899, the son of Albino and mary Callari and had been a resident of Kalamazoo since 1925. He was retired from Guernsey Sheet Metal Co. Mr. Callari was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church of Delton and a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kalamazoo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Last Man’s Stand of Menominee and Kalamazoo Barracks No. 551 Veterans of World War I. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie L. Callari, May 22, 1967. Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. William (Marjorie) McCreery of Parchment, Mrs. William (LaVergne) Thomas of Kalamazoo and Mrs. John (Charlene) Abbott of Portage; 5 brothers, Albert of North Carolina, Frank, Clement, Ernest and Louis, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Threasa Grodecki of Vulcan, Mich., Mrs. Bella Menard of Norway, Mi! ch. and Mrs. Beatrice Kohn of Chicago, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nices and nephews. Friends are being received at Redmond Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited this evening at 7:30. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Delton, Thursday morning at 11. Mr. Callari will then be taken to the Lamieux Funeral Home, Menominee, Mich., for further services, with burial in Riversdie Cemetery, Menominee.
