FOOTE, CRAFTSMAN, DIES TUESDAY Eddie Louis FOOTE, 55, 327 Phillips Street, Nashville, a well known furniture maker in this area, died about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Pennock Hospital following a long illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Walldorff Funeral Home with the Rev. Geroge Elliott officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Mr. FOOTE at one time worked for the Grand Rapids Bookcase & Chair Company, the Hastings Mfg. Company and for the past three years was a furniture finisher for the Hastings Corporation. He was born near Charlotte in Eaton county on March 9, 1908, the son of Loren and Nellie (CRONK) FOOTE. He entered the furniture making business when he was 16. At one time he lived in Hastings and 14 years ago moved to Grand Rapids. After living there nine years he went to Florida, then moved back to Nashville where he lived for three years. He married Edith HARRINGTON in Hastings. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Charles, at home; four brothers, Floyd of Caledonia and Fred, Robert and Lawrence Jack FOOTE of Hastings, and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Ruth) CURTIS and Mrs. Stanley (Lucille) STAUFFER, both of Hastings.
