ELLARD Sr., Trinity, Alabama, Formerly of Crooked Lake, Delton, MI, died Saturday, December 21, 1996 in Trinity, Alabama. Mr. ELLARD was born March 26, 1922 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was the son of Charles and Almeda (GREEN) ELLARD. Mr. ELLARD lived most of his life in Kalamazoo and Delton, Michigan. He was employed by the National Waterlift Company for 27 years, retiring in 1984. During World War II he served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne, serving in the European Theater. He participated in Dday and Bastone. Mr. ELLARD was a member of the National 101st Airborne Association and a lifetime member of the Comstock V.F.W. 6252 Post. On January 24, 1941, he was united in marriage to Imogene (SHAIFFER) ELLARD. There are four sons, Bert Jr. and Carol ELLARD of Trinity, Alabama, (Ed) and Mona ELLARD of Charlotte, Michigan, Danney Joel ELLARD of Delton, MI and Roger and Connie ELLARD of Trinity, Albama. There are thirteen grandchildren and n! ine-great-grandchildren. He leaves two brothers and a sister, Howard ELLARD of Mendon, MI, Richard ELLARD of Kalamazoo and Bernita TEALL of Decatur, MI. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. He has many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday 6-8 PM, Tuesday 2-4 PM. Services will be held Thursday 11 AM at the Williams Funeral Home, Delton. Pastor Jeff Bowman officiating. Burial at the Fort Custer National Cemetery, with full military honors with Taps by the Comstock V.F.W.
