Annemarie was born on November 16, 1908 in Halle, Germany, the daughter of Gottholt and Frieda (Abel) Spiegel. She moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1932 and married Rudy Othmer. Together, they moved to Vermontville and later to Woodland where they farmed for over 40 years. Annemarie was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 60 years, Rudy Othmer. She is survived by her children, Rose Marie Othmer of Richmond, Indiana, Peter (Betty) Othmer of Fullerton, California, Hans (Bobbie Ann) Othmer of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Bob (Kathy) Othmer of Vermontville; her grandchildren, Dawn (Andy) Robotham, Rudy (Christin) Othmer, Jon Othmer, and Brigette Othmer; and her sister, Hildegard Bolter of Germany. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 24, 2000 at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa Burial was in Woodland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodl! and Lions for the Rudy Othmer Scholarship Fund. Arrangements were made by Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa.
