"Butch" Delton Passed away peacefully, as a believer in Jesus Christ, Thursday, June 16, 2005 at his home. He was born March 26, 1947 in Paducah, KY, the son of Sammie E. Taylor and Frankie Mae (Howard) Taylor. Willie was raised and married in Kalamazoo, the father of Andrew Bracton Taylor from a previous marriage. He served in the U S Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. In November 1989, he was joined in marriage to Fern Bernstein. Two children were born to this union, Gwen and Brianna. He graduated from Penn State University, completing the Physician's Assistant program at Hershey Medical School. He served at various medical facilities as a respiratory therapist and a Physician's Assistant. For the past 18 years, Willie resided in Delton with his family, as a devoted husband and loving, committed father. He spent his life helping others and found joy in fishing, conversation and music. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Fern; 2 daughters, Gwen and Brianna of Delton; one son, Andrew ! Taylor of Kalamazoo; 2 grandchildren, Andrew II and Marissa Taylor of Lansing; his parents, John and Frankie Rhea of Houston, TX, and Sammie and Dorothy Taylor of Paducah, KY; 6 brothers, Sammie (Patricia) Taylor, Charles Rhea, Terry Rhea of Kalamazoo, Jonathon (Natasha) Rhea of Houston, TX, David Taylor, Mark (Jamie) Taylor of Paducah, KY; 4 sisters, Karen Rhea Hampton of Kalamazoo, Vanessa (Bennie) Knight, Denise Marshall of Paducah, KY, Gloria Dean Colvin of Indianapolis, IN; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Taylor of Paducah, KY.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 Noon, with a family hour beginning at 11:00 AM at the Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, 3210 Virginia Ave. with Pastor C.
