Johnson - 5033 Bedford Rd., Lot 21, Hastings, Mich. Passed away early Thursday (Mar 4, 1976) morning at Borgess Hospital, where he had been a patient the past 3 days. Mr. Johnson was born April 16, 1908, in Bedford, Mich., son of J. Earl and Lydia Burkert Johnson. He was retired from the Grand Trunk Western Railroad in 1973, where he was a communications foreman. On May 23, 1931, he was married to Lelah Holcomb, in Angola, Ind., who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. William (Margaret) Euans and Mrs. Dennis (Carolyn) Kramb, both of Cassopolis; 3 sons, Howard C. Johnson, Jr. of Mauldin, S.C., Elwin E. Johnson of Ripon, Wis. and James Johnson of Holt, Mich.; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Scott of Hastings. Friends are being received at the Williams Funeral Home, Delton, where services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. Sidney Short officiating. Interment in Bedford Cemetery.
