Surnames: WILSON WILLSON BRIGGS STANTON TURNER YOUNG Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/QFB.2ACE/737 Message Board Post: I have a little Yankee Springs mystery or two for you from 80 years ago, Barry County. Claude A WILLSON and Jessie M BRIGGS had been married since 26 Dec 1905 and have at least one child, Burdett WILLSON born about 1914. The 1920 census has an interesting picture. Jessie WILSON is enumerated single, back living with her father Burdette Briggs. There is a WILSON grandchild to Burdette, little Helen born about 1919. Claude now is rooming at widow Pearl B. STANTON's place, I think Hastings City. The enumerator marked him as widowed. (Pssst - on the 1930 census Claude and Pearl are married, and she's buried with him at Yankee Springs Cemetery) Little Burdett WILSON is living with grandparents James and Amy TURNER YOUNG. (Amy TURNER married 1st Claude's father Ezra WILLSON, remarried after his death) Burdett will be back with his father and stepmother on the 1930 census. I do have more info than shown. What became of Jessie BRIGGS WILLSON and little Helen WILSON? What was widow Pearl STANTON's surname, whose widow was she?
