Broadway, Logansport, Ind. Formerly of Prairieville, age 85, passed away Monday (Dec 13, 1971) morning at Memorial Hospital in Logansport. Mr. Hughes was born Nov. 15, 1886 in Prairieville, the son of Frederick and Ida Lindsay Hughes. He retired in 1953 from Hibbard-Spencer-Bartlett Hardware Wholesale Co. in Chicago, where he had been employed for 28 years. On March 6, 1926, he was married to Della Lee, in South Bend, who survives. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren. A son, Frederick, preceded him in death Sept. 29, 1971. Funeral services are being held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Fisher Funeral Home, Logansport. Graveside services to follow at 2:30 p.m. in Prairieville Cemetery.
