Wayne Lester - Rte 2, Delton, age 60, passed away Monday afternoon at Pennock Hospital, Hastings, where he had been a patient since Friday. Mr. Lester was born March 18, 1916 in Dowling, son of Claude and Uldean McCarty Lester. He had lived most of his lifetime in the Dowling and Cedar Creek areas. He was employed at the E.W. Bliss Company of Hastings for the past 25 years where he was a drill operator. He was married to Josephine Leinaar, June 18, 1938 in Delton. Surviving besides his wife is one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Peggy) Hook, Rte 2, Delton; two sons, Michael and Lyle, both of Rte 2, Delton; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Alma) Lenz of Hastings; Mrs. John (Jean) Bellanger of Big Rapids; one brother, Clarence Lester of Battle Creek. One son, Jack, preceded him in death in 1958. Friends are being received at the Williams Funeral Home, Delton, where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Brent Branham of the Cedar Creek Bible Church ! officiating. Interment, Cedar Creek Cemetery.
