Hickory Corners Passed away January 13, 2006. Marv was born August 2, 1935 in Hickory Corners, the son of Lovell and Charlotte (Aldrich) Dewey. A loyal employee of Michigan Bell for 37 years as a cable splicer, Marv retired in 1992. A lifetime member of the Hickory Masonic Lodge #345 F.&A.M., Hickory Corners, he was also a member of Moose Lodge #1649, Delton and the Michigan Bell Telephone Pioneers. Marv's favorite place was his cabin in Ralph, MI, where he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, playing cards; especially euchre and feeding the birds and swans. He is survived by his sons, Kirk (Patti) Dewey and Todd (Bonnie) Dewey, both of Hickory Corners; a daughter, Pam Dewey and Eugene Newell of Durand, MI; special friend, Pat Shafer of Hickory Corners; His former wife, Judith Forslund of Hickory Corners; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jean Stanton; brothers, L.J. and Buzz Dewey; and his infant son, Patrick; The fami! ly will receive friends, Monday (today) 5 - 8:00 p.m. at the Williams - Gores Funeral Home Delton where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 17, 2006 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jeff Worden officiating.
