My Great-Great grandfather was in the lumbering business in Barry County in the latter 1800's and it is unfortunate that there appears to be so little info available on the lumbering industry in Barry County in that period. I've found very little local death info in the Hastings Banner in those years---if so, only a brief mention included in a paragraph relating to area new. I continue to search for info.
