David was born in Kalamazoo, on September 8, 1940, the son of Lynn and Ruth (McCarty) Blaisdell. He was a graduate of Comstock High School. Since 1958, David was a heavy equipment operator, retiring on October 31, 2005, from Leach and Son Excavating. David loved life, boating on Pine Lake, gardening and mowing his lawn with the perfectly straight lines. He will be remembered as an excellent mechanic, who loved helping friends and family. He is survived by his wife of over twenty two years, Nancy (Woodin), a son Brian (Rhonda) Blaisdell of Comstock, daughters: Karen (Bryan) Waterhouse of Vicksburg, and Kelly Blaisdell of Kalamazoo, brothers: Lewis "Jim" (Barbara) Blaisdell of Comstock, and Donald (Sue) Blaisdell of Delton, a sister Barbara Rutlidge of Custer, MI, his mother in law Viola Woodin of Battle Creek, a special nephew Keith Blaisdell of Comstock, six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. David was preceded! in death by his parents. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the WILLIAMS-GORES FUNERAL HOME Delton where a memorial service will be conducted, Wednesday, January 4, 2006, 11:00 AM, Pastor Jeff Worden, officiating.
