Age 91 of Kalamazoo Formerly of Hastings Died Monday, January 9, 2006 at the Upjohn Community Care Center. Mr. Burkey was a longtime Hastings businessman and a former owner of Burkey's Sales & Service. Married the former Helen E. Eash on October 24, 1936, and she died February 1, 1992. Mr. Burkey is survived by four daughters, Marian Burkey of Kalamazoo, Barbara (Everett) Couch of Hickory Corners, Betty (Phil) Georgeau of Kalamazoo and Linda (Al) Ridderbos of Plainwell; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Joanne) Burkey of Florida; as well as nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2006, at Wren Funeral Home in Hastings. Visitation also Thursday at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
