Giselda was born December 2, 1980, made her home at Casa Amparo, and was to graduate from college in December with a degree in International Business. She and her good friend Carmen were to be the first college graduates of the Casa. Giselda was full life, and was concerned of others, especially the little girls of the Casa, before taking care of herself. Giselda will be remembered and missed by her family at the Casa, especially Sister Blanca, and Carmen; her friends from Michigan, especially William Parker, whom she called "daddy"; her "adopted" brother and sister, Jr. and Cindy Homister; and several other friends from southwestern Michigan. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 7 p.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Floria Road, Delton, Fr. Bob Flickinger, Celebrant. Memorial contributions to International Education Fund in care of the Kalamazo! o Community Fund will be appreciated.
