Teresa's home in Ireland with all it's beauty and friendship was always in her heart. She was born in Athlone, County Westmeath, on May 3, 1937. Her travels brought her to proudly become a naturalized citizen of the United States of America in 1976. She would from that time on insist she was a "U.S. Citizen not just an American". Near and dear to her always are the many clients, co-workers and friends she made through her work as a program aide for many years with Barry County Mental Health. Teresa wished all to consider her passing from the words of Tennyson: CROSSING THE BAR Sunset and evening star, And one clear all for me. And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam, When that which drew from out of the boundless deep Turns again home. Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark; And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark: For tho' from out of our bourne of Time and Place The flood may bear me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face, When I have crost the bar. Please, remember in your prayers Teresa's son, Alan Sheehy and Kathleen Murphy in Ireland, daughter Deborah Wieringa and son-in-law John Wieringa in Middleville, son Wayne Morford Jr. and Joyce Morford in Hastings, daughter Shannon Ward and son-in-law Rob Ward in Hastings, step son Allen Hamilton and daughter-in-law Chris Hamilton in Portage, step daughter Penny Seavers in Florida, step son Jim Hamilton in Cloverdale, brother Joseph McGivney in England, sister Frances Lawson in San Pablo, California, precious grandchildren Breah Bosworth, Dylan Bosworth, Kaylee Wieringa, Nigel Morford, Riley Morford, Hannah Morford, Taylor Ward, Colton Ward, Jennifer Hamilton, Nicole Hamilton, Mandy Seavers, Abby Hamilton, Paige Hamilton. Last, but never least, beloved husband and best friend Ken Hamilton whose tender care made her time with us all so meaningful. Preceded in death and there to meet her: parents Francis and Johanna Mcgivney, brother John Mcgivney, sister Mary Hawe, sister V! eronica Carolan, brother-in-law Patrick Carolan, father-in-law Dale Hamilton, mother-in-law Florence Hamilton. Following Teresa's wishes, Wren Funeral Home in Hastings will have a private family viewing Friday morning, May 20. Teresa wished to invite her treasured friends to attend interment services to take place 2 p.m. Friday, May 20 at Brush Ridge, corner of Wilkins Road and Peak, Hope Township, with Father Lam T. Le. Following services, please join her loved ones for a picnic celebration at the home of Shannon and Rob Ward, 3500 Anders, Hastings. Teresa's children also wish to share with those grieving her sudden loss the following: THE BROKEN CHAIN We little knew that evening that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, though you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. Donations in Teresa's name may be given to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 850 Sligo Avenue, Suite 800, Silver Spring, MD 20910 for their invaluable support.
