Cole, age 71, of Battle Creek, passed away on December 8, 1996 in Columbia South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center, Florida after a two year illness. He was born August 2, 1925 in Nashville, the son of the late C. J. and Edna (Boylen) Cole. Mr. Cole is a graduate of Nashville High School. He was married to Betty M. Burtram on March 2, 1979 in Sarasota, Florida. After serving in WWII, from 1943-1946, he had lived in Battle Creek for many years wintering in recent years in Ruskin, Florida. He was employed for 31 years at Kellogg's, retiring in 1983. Mr. Cole enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Betty of Battle Creek and two sisters, Helen Crittendon of Hastings and Millie Knodt of Chula Vista, California. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 1997 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek. Reverend Dr. James M. Gysel officiating. Arrangements were made by Richard A.
