Kauffman, 82, of Freeport passed away Friday, May 9, 1997 at Pennock Hospital. She was Born May 15, 1915 in Indiana, the daughter of Jacob and Lizzie (Miller) Kauffman. She was a member of the Hope Church of the Brethren in Freeport. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Daniel and one sister, Priscilla. Mrs. Kauffman is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Earl) Harig of Freeport; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. at the Hope Church of the Brethren with Pastor Douglas Riechenbach officiating. Burial will take place at Bowne Mennonite Cemetery.
