Scott was a graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Scott was employed at General Dynamics Land Systems in Sterling Heights, designing many components for Army tanks. He is survived by his parents, Hilby and Reggie Medendorp of Hastings; his brother, Brian (Sharon) Medendorp of Middleville; grandfather, Richard (Marge) Hines; also many aunts, uncles and cousins; his special friend, Tazzie Mae, his rottweiler. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday at First Presbyterian Church of Hastings (231 S. Broadway) with Pastor Nelson Lumm officiating. Interment 2:00 PM Friday at Hasting Twp. Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday and 3:00-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Archer, Hampel & Kubiak Funeral Home in Wayland , 269-792-2237.
