Galesburg Formerly of Hickory Corners Died December 28, 2002 at the Laurels of Galesburg. Doris was born September 25, 1915 in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Clarence and Fannie (Kay) Whitney and had lived for many years in Galesburg and Hickory Corners. She was formerly employed at the Kalamazoo Paper Box Company. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Goss in 1998 and by a brother, a grandson and 2 great-grandsons. Surviving are 2 daughters, Kay F. Schmidt of Hickory Corners and Betty (Arthur) Green of Galesburg; 5 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at East Hickory Corners Cemetery at 1:00 o'clock Thursday, January 9 with the Rev. Jeffrey Worden and the Rev. Philip Griffin officiating.
