This is the info I have; b:7/30/1879 in Carlton, MI, surname of Vance. My uncle believes John and a sister Alice (she kept the Vance surname) were adopted or raised by the Graves, had another sister Ida, but believes she was born a Graves. He believes that the Graves ran a store in Carlton, MI. I'm not really sure where to start my search. THANKS in advance for any help or tips you can pass along !!
