Ellis - 3463 Sheffield Rd., Hickory Corners, age 82, passed away suddenly at his home Thursday (Nov 27, 1975) evening. Mr. Ellis was born in 1893 in Clinton, Mich-igan, the son of Robert and Lydia Ward Ellis. He had lived since 1946 on his farm on Sheffield Rd. and was formerly of Battle Creek. He was employed for 20 years at Clark Equip-ment Co. of Battle Creek where he retired in 1960. He was married to Zaidee Decker in 1915 and she preceded him in death in 1956. He is survived by one son: Laban John Ellis of Rte 2, Delton; 4 grand-children; 4 great-great-grand-children; 2 brothers: Labon A. Ellis of Sylviania, Ohio, Thomas Ellis of Sun Valley, California; several nieces and nephews. Friends are being received at the Williams Funeral Home in Delton where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Leslie Takkinen. Interment will be Reese Ceme-tery, Springfield, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund.
