Payne - Of Delton, Age 72, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2002. He was born the eldest son of Clarence and Ina Payne, on December 7, 1929. Elwyn enjoyed deer hunting, the outdoors and doing many things with his family. Elwyn married Marveta Moore on August 20, 1949, who survives. He was pre-ceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Marilyn. Surviv-ing are his children, Michael (Gina) Payne of Middleville, Bruce Payne of Hickory Corners, and Debora Hammond of Delton; grandchildren, Jamie (Sarah) Payne, Angie (Rich) Willard and Cory Hammond; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Addy and Sydney; 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and lots of nieces, nephews and friends. Elwyn worked carrying mail in Delton for 10 years, at E.W. Bliss as a machinist for 22 years, and was self-employed for 20 years. Respecting his wishes cremation has taken place. Elwyn was a great husband, father, grandpa and great- grandpa.
