She was born May 21, 1921 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Eman Poth, and Blanch Margaret (Morse) Poth. She attended Kalamazoo Central High School, and attended a 2-week course at Upjohn Nursing Academy. She was a self-employed Practical Nurse, working with cancer and cardiac patients. She took care of Hazel St. John. She also worked for Custer State Home and Battle Creek V.A. Hospital. She previously worked at Oliver's in the Aviation Division factory for 3 years, working on B-52's and RB-52's. She came to Delton, MI, from Caro, MI, in 1971. She also lived in Beloit, WI, South Beloit, IL, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, MI, Marine City, and Freeport, MI. She enjoyed reading the Bible, magazines and all types of books. She liked embroidery and ``hand work,'' dancing, fishing, writing poetry, watching birds, flower gardening of roses, zinnias and peo! nies. She was on the bowling league in Marine City, MI. She was a member of Delton Seventh-day Adventist. On June 10, 1963, she married Robert P. ``Bob'' Conery, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1970. Surviving are her daughter, Margaret Ann and Gary Mason of Brodhead, WI, sons, Gerald L. and Connie Winterburn of Wyom-ing, MI, and Samuel R. Sulanke; three grandsons, Jeffrey and Tanya Winterburn, Mark and Ellen Winterburn, Roger and Anne Bass; granddaughters, Laura and Terry Hug, Lynne Bass, and Lisa Sulanke; 11 great-grandchildren, Randy Covert, Kellie Covert, Kari Covert, Jamie Winterburn, Samantha Winterburn, Micah Winterburn, Nathan Winterburn, Nolan Winterburn, Adam Bass, Lisa Bass, Joseph Campbell; one great-great-grand-daughter, Kaylynn Warners. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lynne Marie Sulanke in 1961; three brothers, Earl W.E. Brown, Robert N. Horton, and Clarence H. Poth on March 14, 2002; and great-grandson, Derek Winterburn on Februa! ry 1, 2000. Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. Thursday at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bed-ford Rd., Battle Creek, where the family will be present from 4-7 p.m. Services Friday, May 24, 2002 at 11 a.m. in the Bachman Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Paul S. Howell and Pastor Bill Cowin officiating. Burial Reese Cemetery.
