John was born November 26, 1942 in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Harry and Linda ``Elinor'' (Smith) Lammers, and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for most of his life. He was most recently employed for over 20 years at National Waterlift. He was an avid Red Wings Hockey fan and was an active member of the Kalamazoo K- Wings Booster Club. John was preceded in death by his father, Harry Lam-mers. On February 14, 1996, he was married to the former Phyllis Alderink Williams, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Christie (Jim) Kunz of Three Rivers; and a son, John Jeffery (Tanya) Lammers of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren, Gary, Christopher, Alexander (Harry), Jessica and Bradley; his mother, Elinor Lammers and a sister, Linda Lammers and husband, John Rosine, all of Ann Arbor; several step-child-ren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has tak! en place. There will be no visitation. A Graveside Service for inurnment of cremains will be held at 2:00 o'clock Friday at Prairie Home Cemetery in Climax. In lieu of flowers, memorial contri-butions in John's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes Climax Chapel 205 E.
