Passed away early Friday morning at Pennock Hospital, Hastings. She was born March 16, 1905, daughter of Andrew and Hazel Hawley McCarty. She had lived the past eight years in the Delton area and was formerly of Kalamazoo. She was married to John Cook in 1962 in Goshen, Indiana, who survives. Surviving besides her husband, eight children; Patricia Aidress, Calif; Peggy Baske, Stevensville, Mich.; Contance Kipen, Kalamazoo; Jereen Langley, Kalamazoo; Joseph Walsh, Kalamazoo; Richard Walsh of Missouri; Mrs. Joseph (Illona) Chiechi, Kalamazoo; James Walsh, Washington D.C.; seven step-children, Mrs. Henry (Henrietta) Nap of Kalamazoo; Mrs. Lofton (Effie) Ford of Tenn.; Hilda Brooks of Schoolcraft; Fred Cook of Portage; John Cook, Jr., Paw Paw; Anetta Richardson, La.; Clarence Cook of Kalamazoo; 36 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Williams Funeral Home, Delton, whe! re services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Earl Chaplin officiating. Interment, Cedar Creek Cemetery. Mr. Russell L. Curry Sr. - Rte. 1, Martin, passed away Monday evening at Borgess Hospital. Mr. Curry was born Sept. 1, 1912, in Allegan County. He was employed by the Mead Corporation. Surviving are his wife, Florence; one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Shirley) Buskirk of Martin; 5 sons, Russell Curry Jr. of Portage; Jerry, Jack, Robert and Larry Curry, all of Martin; 16 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. Friends may call at the Marshall-Gren Chapel, Plainwell, where services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Rev. Gerald Welsh officiating. Intement in South Martin Cemetery.
