Davis - 8674 Cressey Rd., Rte 1, Hickory Corners, age 56, passed away suddenly Sunday (10 Oct 1976) at Borgess Hospital. Mr. Davis was born in Elkhart County, Ind., May 1, 1920, son of O.W. and Bessie Biller Davis and had lived for the past 17 years near Cressey. He was formerly of Warsaw, Ind. He had been employed for the past 17 years at Lockshore Farms, served with the U.S. Army in World War II. He was married to Dorothy Mathews, Jan. 12, 1941, in Warsaw, Ind., who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Donald (Julia) Warners of Rte 3, Delton, Mrs. Thomas (Roseanna) Szymoniak of Rte 1, Hickory Corners; 3 sons, Lamar Davis of Goshen, Ind., Larry of New Paris, Ind., Wayne of Portage; 11 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Roy (Echo) Teusing of Milford, Ind., Mrs. Chester (Irene) Torman of Bourbon, Ind.; one brother, Robert Davis of Milford, Ind. Friends are being received at the Williams Funeral Home, Delton, where services will be held Wednesday! at 11 a.m., Rev. Floyd Hartzell officiating.
