Denton - Fair Lake, Rte 2, Delton, age 74, passed away Sunday (9 Jan 1977) evening at Borgess Hospital, where she had been a patient since Thursday. Mrs. Denton was born April 5, 1902, in Chicago, and had lived the past 11 years at Fair Lake, and was formerly of Plainwell. She was married to John C. Denton in 1921, in Chicago, who preceded her in death, Feb. 15, 1965. Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Garland (Dorothy) McHenry of Galesburg and Mrs. Earle (Ruth) Massin of Chicago; one son, Alfred Denton of Rte 2, Delton; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters. A son, John, preceded her in death June 19, 1964. Friends are being received at the Williams Funeral Home, Delton, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., Rev. Elmer Faust officiating.
