He was a very good diesel mechanic for Balkema, Inc. for almost 10 years and was a member of the United Construction Workers Union. He served in the US Army in Germany. Tracy loved hunting, fishing, performing magic tricks, and spending time with hie grandsons, nieces, and nephews. He also enjoyed being an all round handyman. Tracy hosted an annual pig roast for his family and friends and he will be dearly missed. His family includes his mother, Barbara ENGLER of Vicksburg; 2 daughters, Carrie J. ST.CLAIR of Portage and Chassidy E. ENGLER of Kalamazoo; 4 brothers and sisters, Andy ENGLER and his wife Marie of Schoolcraft, Dan ENGLER, Linda GRANADA, and Lori SLATER, all of Vicksburg; 2 grandson, Zackary J. WHITNEY and Austin C. ST.CLAIR, and an expected granddaughter, Tracy Daniel WHITNEY; a grandmother, Agnes NASH of Sc! hoolcraft; a step-grandmother, Elsie VANDENBERG of Delton; his former wife and best friend, Debbie RHOADES of Delton; several nieces and nephews and many friends; and his pet parrot, Freddy ENGLER. Trace died suddenly in an auto accident on Wednesday, October 30, 1996. He was preceded in death by his father, Andy ENGLER in 1989, and by a nephew, Wes ENGLER in 1996. Friends may visit with the family and say their good-byes 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday and Saturday at the Rupert, Durham, Marshall & Gren Funeral Home, Portage chapel, where a Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday.
