Surnames: Ashby Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/QFB.2ACE/1663.2 Message Board Post: I took a look at John Ashley in 1860, the last two entry's are not Ashby's. I went to the next page "342" and there is another name in the Ashby household that looks like Amasa Dufer? & I think the name before that on page 341 is also a Dufer but with that hand writing who knows. Heritage Quest goes by head of household, if someone has a different last name it will be in the index but if its the same last name it will not be in the index. That makes it hard sometimes to find someone who may be living with a brother, sister, grandparent ect.. I'm not researching this family, just trying to give you a little help. Jeff
