Plaunt, 70, of Charlotte, formerly of Nashville, died Thursday, May 12, 2005. Mr. Plaunt was born December 16, 1934, in Mackinaw City, the son of James and Edith (McKinnon) Plaunt. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Nashville VFW. He was a Fork Truck Operator for G.M. before retiring in 1992. He loved fishing, cards and pool. He is survived by his loving daughters, Dawn (John) McLean and Sally Mix (Ryan Jones) of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Samantha and Stephanie; brothers, Lawrence Plaunt of Hastings, Ralph Plaunt of Bellevue; three sisters, Meribel Warner of Alabama, Debbie Millinix of Lake City, and Helen Kay of Florida. He was preceded in death by siblings, Cecilia, Elmer, Estella, Ava, James, Robert, Louis and Harriet. Funeral services were Monday, May 16, 2005 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte with R. Raymond Rossell officiating. Interment was at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. If desired, memorial cont! ributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice.
