Surnames: lobdell Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/QFB.2ACE/1572 Message Board Post: I am compiling a history of pioneers in the Smith Valley, Nevada, area. J. B. Lobdell is the first person there to do any real farming, according to numerous sources. I need to know where Lobdell is originally from and what caused him to be in Utah Territory/ later the state of Nevada. A couple named Johnson lived a short while with Lobdell. Mrs. Johnson was the first white woman in the valley. Then Johnson's homesteaded land by Lobdell until Mr. Johnson was murdered. Then Mrs. Johnson wed Hank Mather. Does anyone have information to help me enlarge on the backgrounds/history of these people? Thank you.
