Of Delton Passed away July 17, 2005. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Jones, Michigan on February 12, 1923, the daughter of Clark and Carrie (Anderson) Granger. On July 2, 1940, she married John Zael Carpenter and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1988. Mrs. Carpenter was a farm wife, who lived and worked on their family farm for many years. She will be remembered as the ram-rod, she would make things happen around the farm. Often she would chase parts for equipment that was used on the farm. She also enjoyed playing cards. Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her sons, John (Barbara) Carpenter of Delton, Donald Carpenter of Terrell, TX, David (Beth) Carpenter of Maple Grove, MN, and Carrol Carpenter of Delton; a brother, Otis Granger of Battle Creek, MI; and a sister, Alice (Don) Rook of Burlington, MI; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Carpenter was also preceded in death by her parents and grandsons, Frank and Travis; The family will recei! ve visitors Tuesday, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the WILLIAMS-GORES FUNERAL HOME Delton where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 20, 2005, 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jeff Worden, officiating.
