Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/QFB.2ACE/1669 Message Board Post: Is anyone researching the James Wadd family? In 1870 listed in the Hope Township Census are: James Wadd, 51, b. England Jane Wadd, 55, b. England Thomas W, 15, b. New York Also listed in 1870 in Hope Twp. but different households are: Sarah, 18, b. New York John, 22, b. New York However, I believe I found them in 1860 census in Livingston Co., NY as: James 49 b. England (only 3 years younger than the 1870 census) Amy 47 b. England John 13 b. England Mary 11 b. England Sarah 9 b. New York Thomas 5 b. New York I realize that the children's names are all very common for the period. However, the last name is very UNcommon. In many of the census I've searched, the family is indexed as "Wdd". Would love to correspond with anyone researching this family. I'm particularly interested in the wife, Jane, listed in the 1870 MI census. Thanks, Patricia in Champaign, IL
