I just got a notice about this book for sale. Maybe someone on this list is interested in it. Below is a description of it from the seller and her e-mail address. -----Original Message----- From: Aileen Kushon [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, May 24, 2002 9:53 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: ABE Book Inquiry: A Call from the Country This is the story of a retiring couple who buy a farm with a lake in Barry County. From blurb ..how two middle-aged people found an old worn farm in Southwest Michigan, bought it, changed it, as it changed them, and finally came to live there, makes a warn and meaningful story. Old pasture, new hayfields, and a gamble on some purebred Angus cows grows into an Organic Beef Business...The big woods become a managed American Tree Farm...trash trees ..into winter's heat source...small town and countr life forges links with neighbors and new friends...Years of constant change and challenge run their course. Blizzard and drought, crop failure, discouragement, frustration are occasional companions, too. But through it all there's a growing sense of wonder, appreciation and fulfillment that lends enchantment to this recounting of rediscovery and renewal" Judy Brow Memory Keepers [email protected] --- [email protected] wrote: > The Advanced Book Exchange has received the > following inquiry for one of your books. > > Author...... Marion had three othor brothers a George, Tipton, Charles. I don't no there parents names yet. Marion had eight children. Marion Frances Jr., Melvin, twins Sherman and Sharidan born 1913, Midred(Holford), twins Maud(Money), Cluad, Leroy Sr. I don't no the order of births. I suspect Maroin Jr. was the first son since he was born after the father. I suspect the desendents to have twins and to serve time in the military. Also might have boughts with alcoholism. All siblings born in Illinois, probably the same as the parents. Marion and Melvin lived in Waukesha, WI. after 1967. I don't believe they ever returned to Illinois. Don't no why they went to WI. probably went with relatives or job oportunities. There are other cousins that went to WI. so that must mean something in the Leach family back then! . I was thinking Marion might of went by Frances that is why I haven't found him yet.
