Guthrie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Guthrie of Delton, was a passenger in a pickup truck driven by Jeffrey A. Conklin, 18, of Hickory Corners, when the accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Friday on Burroughs Road. According to Barry Township Police, the boy was leaning out of the truck's passenger window when he apparently tripped the door latch, causing him to fall out. Police said it was unclear whether Guthrie was runover by the truck of a hay wagon that was being hauled. Conklin was not held, police indicated. Services have been set for Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Delton.
