    1. Etta A (Elizabeth?) UNKN b. ~1847 possibly MI; m. WILSON ~1875-77
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: WILSON WILLSON WRIGHT FARNSWORTH HAAS BOUGHTON BURDICK McKAIN MASON HOLDEN BEEBE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/QFB.2ACE/728 Message Board Post: Etta married my ancestor Amos J WILLSON about 1875 to 1877, probably Barry Co or nearby Allegan, or Kalamazoo. What's known is that their eldest son, George D, was born ~1877 Yankee Springs. All the WILSON and WILLSON burials at Yankee Springs Cemetery are related, married-into or descendants of Ezra D WILLSON and Anna HAAS. Those two are buried at Bowerman Cemetery, Barry County. Ezra's father was Amos, he's buried in Kalamazoo Co. He'd migrated 1832-3 to MI from VT. Of 8 kids, only Ezra migrated to Barry Co, est. late 1860s. Other sons of Etta and Amos are William L "Will" b ~1884 and grandpa Edward Amos "Ed" b 25 July 1892. WILSON daughters -- and I'd love to learn who they married and where they got off to -- are Jennie b ~1880, Maud b ~1883, Lena b ~1886, and Sarah E b ~1890. I got the names and what info I've started with from censuses and whatnot, especially the 1894 MI state census and Barry Co. cemeteries from interment.net and personal visits. George and Will at one time farmed over at Delhi twp, Ingham Co. per 1920 US census & family recall, George returned at least after death, I don't know where Will is buried yet. I also have no idea where grandpa got off to or if he returned from Canada to live, or when and where he died. He left grandma up on the prairie in Alberta Canada with 5 small children still living. Ezra D's other son Ezra A married Amy TURNER 1883; descendents of his son Claud may still be around Barry County. Someone had recently visited WILSON graves before I got there the end of May 2002.

She was my great-grandmother, wife of Amos J WILLSON. I know who everyone was now but her, back to 1832-3 when his grandpa Amos WILLSON arrived in MI from VT. Both spellings, all are mine here at Yankee Springs Cemetery: http://www.interment.net/data/us/mi/barry/yankee.htm except Tracy A, and she's probably mine too. I am not sure yet, but believe that Pearl B is wife of Claude. Amos' brother Ezra A's wife Amy was a Turner, daughter of Asher. Also, many adult WILSONs died 1902-1908, and youngsters in there too. Was there some bad illness rampant about then?

I sent email with those yesterday, but yours was one that went to a bad email addy [email protected] so I dumped it. Here's an approximation of what I pasted on the email. Here are the *2* Burdick households at Barry County 1850: 1850 U.S. Census • Michigan • Barry • Rutland p 3/5 John Burdick 36 farmer Canada Frances 26 NY, Charlotte 8 MI, Dorrance 6 MI 1850 U.S. Census • Michigan • Barry • Barry p 4 & 5/12 Daniel Burdick 32 farmer - all born NY Hannah 30, Meyer/Meyou? 10 male , Henson? 9 male (carryover page) Mary BURDICK 7 NY, Benjamin 3 MI Sarah H-or-Kauffman 14 OH Whoever John belonged to, perhaps the family was temporarily over the NY line into Canada. You'll probably like this http://www.burdickfamily.org/ About DORRANCE - it's a surname. One of mine married one of those, too. Perhaps that is Frances' surname, eh. There's this Dorrance at Barry Co, Hastings Vill. on 1850 census. You'll like this site too: http://envoy.libraryofmichigan.org/1870_census/NextPage.asp?ComingFrom=SearchInputForm George F DORRANCE 29 Jeweler from NY Let me know if anything works. I probably have more stuff around in my notes because of that location, time and surname. I was particularly looking because my Yankee Springs Willsons picked up a given name of Burdett, the original English spelling, later 19th century. So I suspected that either the wife of Ezra who's an Etta A UNKN, or the wife of Claud was a BURDICK. Also that a pair of siblings married into the line earlier. This bunch was quite traditional with given names, know what I mean?
