My name is Michael Edward La Barge & I just started looking up (or down) my "Labarge" family tree, this is my direct lineage. François Duquette dit Laberge (Jacques Duquette et Josephte Faubert). Apparently, François Laberge was adopted & kept the name Laberge. He m. Marguerite Picard (Antoine & Marguerite Beaulieu) on nov. 23, 1811 in Lachine, QC. Their children: François(1), François (2), Marguerite, Marie, Louis, Théotiste, Edouard, Narcisse, Angélique, Félicité, Gilbert. Louis m. Marie-Clémence Turcotte (François & Marie Rhéaume) on april 22, 1844 in St-Joachim, Châteauguay, Qc. Children: Alphonse, Philippe & Joseph. Louis was born in feb. 1822 in Châteauguay, Qc & died on oct. 14, 1908 in Alpena. Alphonse m. Alphonsine Goyer (Augustin & mother unknown) in 1874 in Lachine, QC. She was born on june 26, 1851 in Lachine, Qc & died on sept. 2, 1938 in Alpena, MI. He was born in 1847 in St-Joachim, Châteauguay, Qc & died on april 16, 1917 in Alpena. The children were : Albena, Alphonse, Donalda, Joseph, Alfred, Frederick, Joséphine, Ernest, Malvina, Napoléon, Oilver & Twins(no name). "My Great Grandfather (b. in Alpena, MI.?) was named Alphonse Labarge (middle name could have been Joseph). He married Georgianna (Desnieux or Dagenais?) B. 6-8-1879 D. about 1952 (I have more info on Georginna's family as well.) & they had 11 children born in Alpena, MI.(?) All the boys middle names were "Joseph" & all the girls middle names were "Mary." They're names: Luger b. August 20 1898, Eva, Leo b. 1902, Lorrane, Raymond b. Dec. 1902, Lloyd b. Jan. 6 1908, Lorretta b. April 4 1912, Edgar b. August 14 1914, Geraldine, Agatha & Vergil." Edgar Joseph Labarge (b. 1914 - d. 1984) married Helen Vojnar (b. 1916 - d. 1990's). They had three kids: Sandy, Carol & Edward Joseph. Edward Joseph LaBarge was born in Pontiac, MI in 1947. They moved to Muskegon, MI in the 60's & I was born there in 1967. ___________________________________________________ If your info intersects with the above line, you might be able to help me fill in some blanks.
