Here is my lineage: William Franklin Rea, wife Mary Ann (Laidley?) According to family he was born in Northern Ireland (Donegal?). Obtained land in Ontario from the Crown for his service in the British Army in India. Moved from Ireland to Bastard township, Leeds County, Ontario around 1820. William Rea, wife Eleanor Lavina McEwen William J. Rea, wife Elizabeth Marshall Moved to Hillman, Michigan in the 1880s. His brother Robert and family followed. Harrison Rea, wife Wanetta (Doyle?) Darwin/John Rea, wife Marjorie McGinty Lived in Trout Creek (U.P.) and Iron River (U.P.) as well as Hillman. Edward James Rea, wife Judith Matthews Moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Kevin Rea, wife Anu Anu Now live in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. I would like to hear from anyone knowing anything about the REA's in Alpena or Hillman or anywhere else in the area.
