She was my "step" grandmother married my maternal grandfather, Carl Jacobson. Her parents were William H. FOSTER born abt. 1860 in Port Hope, Ontario and died July 3, 1899 in Alpena at age 39-I have newspaper clipping of obituary. He married Etta MOONEY December 28, 1888. I do not have her birth/death dates. They also had a son named Frank (Frankie) who died at an early age, I would say in his teens. Shirley became a well-known and respected music teacher in Santa Clara County California School District and in Northern California.
