I can also tell you that this area was not settled by Kashube's (though some later moved there) so you probably can rule out being on the German border. Kashube's settled near St. Albertus and St. Hyacinth (Putzig (Puck) area of Poland). Best bet is to contact St. Hedwig to check baptismal certificates of their children. I also found at St. John Cantius (Delray, MI) a large stained glass window dedicated by the Czajka family but the only way I can find out which Czajka's is through Burton Library to look at the films.
