The family I am searching for is John and Frances Smith. He worked at the Alpena Leather Corp. There is a possibility that they adopted a 5 year-old boy in August 1922. If they did, he may be my mother's birth brother. We have had a difficult time finding him because the people in Lansing will not give us his adopted name.My mother is 86 years-old and he would be 88 years-old today. I have found their birth mother and birth father, have pictures of them, and know where they are buried. Also know circumstances that caused them to be placed for adoption. His birth date is September 10, 1916 in Kalamazoo, MI.
