Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IFB.2ACE/1096 Message Board Post: I am looking for information on Addie (Adelaide) Denike Campbell. She was in Alpena in the 1900, 1910. 1920. and 1930 census records. According to those records she was born in Michigan about 1874. She married Alexander Campbell in Sand Beach MI in 1893 and had two children, Inez and Allie. Her husband and both of her children are buried in Evergreen cemetery in Alpena. She is not. I have not been able to locate her place of birth or death. I have no information on the Denike family. Is anyone aware of a Denike family in or near the Alpena area?

    1. Census Lookups
    2. Jolene Pillars
    3. Hi I will do census lookup requests for Alpena from 1850-1930. I need as much information as you can give me in order to be successful. I had done this before but took a break and am back doing lookups again. This time I am doing lookups at Ancestry, com, before I did them right from the Alpena census records. At this time I can only do lookups in the 1900 index and not the actual census. If you had written to me and asked for a lookup and I didn't get with you please write again. I had a major computer crash and I lost my mail and requests. Thank you, Jolene Kelly Pillars famlyfndr@coslink.net- email me directly. PS.. if you need a look up that is not in Alpena County I would be happy to do a lookup for you.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IFB.2ACE/131.250.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Renee, Just read your posting. I thought I might find a connection somewhere with Joseph LaCasse and Josephine LaMarre as I have some genealogies of marriages for LaCasse in Montmagny, L'islet and Bellechasse counties, though I didn't. I have Antoine LaCasse who married 14 Oct 1665 at Chateau-Richer to Francoise Piloy. Joseph LaCasse married 27 Jun 1691 to Marie Francoise Bazin at Lauzon. Charles LaCasse married 22 Jun 1751 to Jeanne Renaud at Charlesbourg. Joseph LaCasse married 15 Nov 1773 to Marie Dallaire at St. Michel. Joseph LaCasse married 26 Jan 1801 to Josephte Boutin at St. Gervais. Jean Baptiste LaCasse married 29 Sep 1835 to Eulalie Parent at Sainte-Marie. Louis LaCasse married 10 Oct 1871 to Anastasie Bilodeau at St. Marguerite. Edward LeClair married 6 Aug 1901 to Georgiana LaCasse at Alpena, MI witnesses Emma LaMarre and Jerrie Ratte. It was Edwards sister Josephine LeClair that married Alex LaMarre 17 Jul 1882 at Alpena, MI though the State of MI, County of Alpena, record 655 lists Alex Lamort. I think if I remember right I found a connection between Edwards sister Mary LeClair who married 4 Oct 1889 to Pierre LaCasse at Alpena, MI. Pierre LaCasse's gr grand father and Georgiana LaCasse's gr grand father was Joseph LaCasse who married Josephte Boutin. Pierre's parents were Joseph LaCasse and Marguerite Bouffard. Sorry I couldn't find anything.

I was told at the Alpena Library that there were yearbooks for this time period, but I have not been able to locate any. I would like to see a picture of Inez as she died at the age of 19 in an auto accident and no family pictures seem to exist. Does anyone know if there is a collection of old yearbooks housed somewhere in Alpena? I have already contacted the Library, the High School and the Museum.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IFB.2ACE/1093 Message Board Post: Announcement 11-7-2004: The Historic Atlas Series: 19th Century County Maps now has its own domain: http://www.historic-atlas-series.com The former URL located on the HAR web site will remain for a limited time; so please change your bookmarks to continue visiting these web pages. Historical maps are an invaluable resource to genealogists, historians and researchers with an interest in 19th century landscape and cultural features. Individual county maps are useful for identifying 19th century transportation routes, railroads, canals, streams and rivers, cities, towns and villages, and early place names. One-room schools, churches, cemeteries and other cultural features are also included in the county maps. The city and village plat maps in each atlas are often more detailed with many early property owners identified; industrial sites including a variety of stores, factories and mills; State and local government sites: cemeteries, churches, schools, fair grounds, race tracks, asylum & hospitals; and much more. The current web site includes county maps and atlases from: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. Pennsylvania and Kentucky will be added shortly; Missouri and West Virginia are planned during first quarter of next year. As always, all available 19th century maps and atlases may also be purchased at eBay: http://stores.ebay.com/Historic-Atlas-Series-by-HAR?refid=store Thanks for reading, Rich http://www.historic-atlas-series.com
