Rebecca: There is an FHC in East Lansing at the new LDS Church. Go to this site to find out where the FHCs are located. www.familysearch.org/ You can also find the location of the Battle Creek Family History Center at this site. My wife is from Dayton and considers Ohio to be the "mainland" because Lansing is in the lower peninsula of Michigan. Richard L.
