    3. Solon Township Cemetery is on the corner of 18 Mile and Algoma Ave. and you are right --- it is about 5 miles from Cedar Springs. West to be exact. I think you would have to have a very old map to find Georgetown there. From what I have seen, there are quite a few small settlements -- just some houses and no businesses and they don't have any names. Perhaps if you were to write to the Cedar Springs City Office on Main St., Cedar Springs, MI 49319 or to the Cedar Springs Library, 43 W. Cherry, Cedar Springs someone might be able to help you. One more suggestion, The Cedar Springs Post - a small newspaper that has been around for a very long time and has a lot of archived papers might pique someone's interest and look it up for you. Their address is 36 E. Maple, Cedar Spring - same zip as above. Send it to the attention of Sarah Reed - I believe that's her name. Hope this helps just a little bit. Rosalyn Genung ---- Sand Lake, MI -- just north of Cedar Springs.

    3. Hello Rosalyn: Thanks for your reply, another look-up seems to think that it is Georgetown Twp, Ottawa County, MI. Sound reasonable Though. Rosalyn, I know the Cedar Springs area well, as I was raised at Solon Center, and went to Cedar High, left in 1942 and went into the Marine Corp, retired and settled here in Albany, Ga., But come back to the Class reunions and the family reunion each year in June. My only remaining sister is Betty Kilts, who lives up at Howard City now. The only problem is I never get to go to all the places I want to, last summer I found the little museum in Rockford, its only open, Thru , Fri and Sat afternoons, but full of information. Thanks again for answering my look-up. I know that their is a historical Society in Cedar Area, is there a Genealogical Society ? Thanks again for your reply, and I'll check into the Library at Cedar the next time I get up to the Area.
