The date is June 5, 1917, is there any way to get more info on the registration card's. It sure would be nice to find out who he was married to at that time, it was from Flint Michigan. Images of these draft registration cards are on ancestry.com. Search for your ancestor and the card will be under military records. Sometimes the writing is difficult to read. There is no space on the card to designate the name of a spouse; however, there is a space for next of kin The cards also tell a person's body build, hair and eye color.. It will not give the wife's maiden name. All men between certain ages (can't remember the lower limit but 46 was the upper limit), even those who were not citizens, were required to register. carolyn in rhode island Andrea Hadley wrote: >FOR RECORDS FROM WWI AND WWII YOU HAVE TO WRITE TO: >NATIONAL PERSONNEL RECORDS CENTER >MILITARY PERSONNEL RECORDS >9700 PAGE AVENUE >ST.
